“Everything concerning God that can be known to humanity is already evident, because God has been revealed to mankind.” [Romans 1:19]
Before the world existed, time and space did not exist, and matter and energy were nowhere to be found. Only one Duyi God exists eternally.
Time, space, matter, energy, and life are all created by this Duyi God.
The Bible records that God created the universe and all things in six days, and on the sixth day He created His masterpiece, the spirit of all things—humanity. What was the moment God created all things from nothing to something? Is it the super shock of trillions of atomic bombs exploding simultaneously? No one knows, and the Bible doesn’t say so.
How long are the six days of God’s creation each day? Is it 24 hours? No one knew, because there was no one at that time. The Bible uses “evening and morning” to distinguish each day. Some scientists have used relativity to speculate that the first day equals tens of thousands of years today, but this is clearly impossible to verify.
Given this, why do we believe the words of the Bible? Since there were no people when God created the heavens and the earth, how did the biblical authors know and record the circumstances at that time?
The Bible is a wonderful book, divided into the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament consists of 39 books, the New Testament 27 books, totaling 66 books, with more than forty authors in total. Moreover, the oldest book of the Bible was written by Moses around 1440 BCE, while the last book of the New Testament was written by the Apostle John in 96 AD.
So the Bible spanned nearly 1,600 years.
Moreover, many Bible authors mention that God Himself told them how to write the Bible. Biblical scholars call this “revelation” or “revelation,” meaning the biblical authors were moved by God when writing and accurately recorded what God intended to say. From this perspective, God is actually the true author of the entire Bible.
In addition, the Bible records that God created another kind of being—not matter or dark matter, not energy or dark energy, not flowers, insects, birds, beasts, or humans. Scientists cannot observe or infer their existence because they are intelligent beings, with individuality, temperament, ability, and thought.
God created them first before creating humans; the number of them created by God is fixed and unchanging. Their capabilities surpass those of humans. In the Bible, they are called angels.
This is neither superstition nor fantasy. So how did God create humans? What is the relationship between humans and angels? Is human death related to angels? Next time, we will continue according to the biblical account.
