Recognizing the condition of unbelievers (v.18-19) 对不信者行为的认识 (18-19 节)

18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. 19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.

18 他们心地昏昧,与 神所赐的生命隔绝了,都因自己无知,心里刚硬。 19 良心既然丧尽,就放纵私欲,贪行种种的污秽。

Their understanding is full of darkness.他们心底昏迷.

They are alienated from God.他们与 神隔绝.

This has profound implications for the Christian counselor.这对基督徒辅导有深远的影 响.

According to Biblical truth (v.20-21) 基于圣经真理(20-21 节)

20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!—21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,

Our text: 2 TIMOTHY 2:14-26 提后 2:14-26 Through this text I want to listen to the instruction given to Timothy and make application to the counselor. I intend for this to be equally applied to both pastoral and professional counselors.

Skilled in the Word 技巧的语言(14-18 节) (v.14-18)

14 Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be 31Foundations of Biblical Counseling  ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 16 But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness, 17 and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18 who have swerved from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already happened. They are upsetting the faith of some.

All counselors who want to be Biblical must be skilled in the Word. You may be able in other areas, you may be greatly educated and widely read, but this is to be your essential skill. You must be able to handle the Bible. You must know it, study it, understand it, make application from it. You must do so correctly. You must do so in a way that is pleasing to God and will be approved by Him when you stand on the final day.

所有想做圣经方面的辅导者必须熟悉 神的道。或许你在其他领域很有能力,或许你 受过高等教育、知识渊博,然而对圣经是熟悉是作辅导的基本功。你必须有运用圣 经的能力。这就需要你知道它、学习它、明白它、运用它,并且能够准确地去做, 用讨神喜悦的方式去做,这样你就可以在那日坦然无惧的站在神面前。

I too often find that Christian counselors know the DSM IV or the latest greatest theory of psychology better than they know their Bibles. This is a great shame. I am not saying that you should set aside these other things. But I am saying that you cannot be an approved Christian counselor until you have become skilled in God’s Word.

我经常发现基督徒辅导者对 DSMIV(注:Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 《诊断与统计手册:精神障碍》)或心理学最前沿伟大的理论所 知道的比圣经还要多。真是可怜!我并不是说你们要把其他的丢在一边,而是说这 样你们就不可能成为一名被别人所认可的基督徒辅导者,除非你熟悉 神的话。

Holy in Life 圣洁的生活(19-21) (v.19-21)

19 But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.” 20 Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. 21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.

Christian counselors must be holy people. They must not be enslaved to sin or to sins. They must be able to live an exemplary life that is pleasing to God. I believe that all Christian counselors should at least meet the qualifications of a deacon or deaconess.

Committed to loving relationships 爱中持守联络(22-23 节)(v.22-23)

Christian counselors are to be faithful to their church family and fellowship. I don’t care who you are – you must be committed to living and loving within a church body. You must not free-lance. You must not operate as though you do not need to be involved in authentic Christian relationships. You are to pursue your Christianity “along with all those who call on the name of the Lord from a pure heart”

Not given to quarrels, arguments, debates because counselors can often be legalistic, moralistic, combative, argumentative arising from self-focused pride

Actually kind to everyone because counselees need to see the mercy and love of God incarnated through you.

Able to teach, because counselees need clear instruction from God’s Word.

Corrects even opponents gently 温柔劝戒抵挡者(25 节) (v.25)

25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. 25 用温柔劝戒那抵挡的人。

In the market place or in the church hall, we need to be committed to two important things:

That we will correct those who are wrong.我们要纠正犯错误的人.

God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth,

The Christian counselor must be willing to allow God to change people.

26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

2 Corinthians 5:9 – We make our aim to be pleasing to God.

Help others to fully know God’s will; So that they will live in a way that is worthy; Pleasing God, bearing fruit, and knowing God better. Help others to joyfully and patiently endure With God’s kind of strength and power Because of all that God has done in saving then.

Understanding Life Biblically 从圣经角度理解生命

Some simple models to help the counselor and the counselee understand life Biblically. While they are neither exhaustive nor comprehensive, they are intended to explain in such a way that you can Scripturally interpret what is going on.

People as root and fruit 人如根与果子

Here is the simple representation of people as root and fruit. There is the root, the source or cause of all that is displeasing to God.

Why the counselor needs it (v.12-13)辅导者为何需要圣经(12-13 节) 

In the Bible, the Christian counselor has an explanation for some of the great questions people struggle with:

12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Biblical counseling has a clear explanation for why we suffer at the hands of others.

Biblical counseling calls people to a godly response to being sinned against

Biblical counseling sees suffering, even at the hands of evil people, as being under God’s sovereign control.

Commitment to the truth of the Scripture 持守圣经真理 

While there is disagreement among Christian counselors as to the value and use of truth in the world, there must be no disagreement about the truth in the Bible. The Scriptures are the unfailing, without error, authoritative source of God’s self-disclosure.

Carefulness over who we are learning the Scripture from 谨慎经文传授者 

The Bible calls us and warns us to be careful of our teachers. Who is teaching us the Bible? This is not about their degrees, their certifications, their education – it is about their Christian character and conduct.

Why is this so? Because of the nature, supremacy, authority and sufficiency of the Scripture.

It is the Scripture, the Bible, the Word of God that is the only inspired, inerrant, infallible revelation. I am going to say this as kindly as I know how: any counselor and any counseling that does not formally and functionally affirm this cannot be Christian.

  • The Bible is generally and specifically useful for all Christian life and ministry.

  • The Bible is useful in the full scope of dealing with people. These four categories seem to specifically deal with areas we associate now with counseling.

While there is some usefulness in knowledge that comes from the world, there is no knowledge necessary for Christian counseling outside of the Scripture. Yes, we can know much more about how the body functions from general knowledge – but it can tell us little about how the soul functions. It can tell us nothing about the most important relationship a person has, the relationship with Christ.

The Bible makes the Christian competent. Our English translations struggle with the Greek word here. Perfect here means complete, competent, meeting the design specifications. The Bible is what makes the Christian competent in Christian ministry.

The Example for Us 为我们作的榜样(24-25 节) (v.24-25)

 Paul is an example for us. He models what it means to suffer (v.24) and to serve (v.25).

The suffering and serving is aimed at making God’s Word more fully known. This has two aspects that are important for us. We are to spread the Word to more people. We are to be sure that people know more of what the Word says.

Christ indwells His church. The people of God are the new temple. This was a mystery to the Old Testament saints. We, you and I, are the living stones becoming the dwelling place of God. Each person you deal with is either a possible future living stone through conversion or is presently part of that habitation.

Why does this matter? Because it is the core of our hope. At the core of Biblical counseling is not just coping skills. It is teaching your counselee to live in the present mess in view of our future glory. This is part of the meaning of life. This is not merely an escape into a vague, illusionary luminous light of a dimly understood future existence. It is the brilliant, presently illuminating

Do you see the goal that is established for Christian ministry including counseling? Our goal is to present everyone mature in Christ. So this is an important question for you. Is your counseling working to present people mature in Christ?

Biblical counseling in the market place, in the professional setting, will seek to be a gateway, a doorway that opens God’s kingdom for unbelieving people to become “in Christ”. Then they have started on the journey to maturity. 

圣经辅导在市场、专业设置中为不信者打开 神的国从而 “在基督里”开辟了一条途径。之后,他们就开始踏上成熟之路了。 

Biblical counseling in the church, in the pastoral setting, will seek to helppeople become who God has said they are. It is working to Christian maturity. In China, this is often expressed in terms of Christian wholeness.

God does not divorce the means from the end. If this is our goal, then there is a God-ordained means to that goal. It is word ministry. It is speaking ministry. It is warning and teaching. It is done with spiritual wisdom. It is truth spoken in love. 11Foundations of Biblical Counseling

But God also establishes the content of speaking – “Him we proclaim.” Christ is at the center of what we say. We have insights. We have principles. We have commands. We have who we are and what we are to do. But the ultimate message and goal in all Christian ministry is to bring people into a loving and living relationship with Christ. We are bringing people to Christ.

Now, I want to draw a line for us. Christian counseling that is merely helping people cope with the hardships of life without connecting people to Christ is doing mercy ministry. It is OK. It is like handing out clothes or giving a meal to the homeless. It is a point of contact. But if that is all we are doing, then we are at best merely providing a social service that alleviates mercy. But it is not Christian ministry.

We are struggling in the hard work of glorifying God through our ministry.God is working in and through us to strengthen and sustain us in that struggle.

Through Christ-centered counseling, people will be brought to greater maturity.

The Center of Christian Knowledge (v.1-5) 基督徒知识的中心 (第 1-5 节)

Through Christian counseling’s use of the truths of Christ’s person and work, people will be able to understand true wisdom and reject false wisdoms.

1 For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 I say this in order that no one may delude you with plausible arguments. 5 For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.

A Worthy Purpose 一个满有价值的目标(第 1-2 节) (v.1-2)

Here is how that struggle worked out with Paul – he was involved with people inface-to-face ministry and in prayer.

A Glorious Person 一个满有荣耀的人(第 2-3 节) (v.2-3)

He is working to bring about a full and practical knowledge of Christ so that they are encouraged, unified and confident in the troubles surrounding them.

A Dangerous Problem 一个充满危险的问题(第 4 节) (v.4)

But there are people who will try to persuade them differently. I want to pause hereand think about this a bit:

There are people who attempt to argue against the centrality of Christ inall things, particularly in Christian meaning, ministry and maturity.

These people present persuasive arguments for their case. The argumentsmay be:

Philosophi  cal Argued from a world view that challenges the truth of the Bible Scientific Materialistic arguments using scientific data. In the counseling field this is often done using a medical model. Religious Arguments that use other texts of Scripture or theological constructs to counter the truth of Christ’s centrality Narratives Arguments from people’s stories that put you in a position to be arguing against the experience of people. Rhetorical Arguments using cleverly constructed logic to counter clearly stated truths.

These arguments are deceptive and will attempt to delude (deceive, cheat, mislead, dupe, con) God’s people.

Through Christian counseling, people will be taught to believe in Christ in an obeyingway so as to be full of gratitude.

The Provider of Christian Reality (v.8-15)基督徒现实的供应者(8-15 节)

Why is this so? Because Christ is the one who brings us all that it means to be Christians.

Through Christian counseling, people will come to live according to who they are in Christ and what Christ has done for them.

Avoid False Substitutes(v.8) 避免虚假的替代品(8节 ) (代替品有真假之分?)

We are in danger if we accept false substitutes that are not accord with Christ. He is he criteria. He is the standard by which all religious systems, ideas, philosophies, psychologies, sciences and cultures are to be measured. In counseling people, our models and methods must all be measured against the person and work of Christ if it is going to be truly Christian.

如果我们接受与基督不相符的虚假替代品时,我们就会处在危险之中。基督是准绳, 是测量所有宗教体系、理念、哲学、心理学、科学、文化的标准。在我们辅导的人

Accept Christ’s Description of You (v.9-10)接受基督对你的描述(9-10 节)

So, we are to help people accept and live out their identity in Christ. The Spirit through the Word tells us who we are. He tells us what has been done for us, in us and will be completed in us over our lives. Our old selves and the world system tries to give us a different identity.

这样,我们帮助别人去接受基督并活出在基督里的身份。圣灵藉着道告诉我们是谁、 祂在我们生命中为我们、在我们里面所做的以及将要在我们里面所成就的。我们的 老我和世界价值体系试图强加给我们另外一个与之不同的身份。

For example, we should help people who struggle with afflictions not to “be” their affliction. Help people to affirm, “I have bi-polar, not I am bi-polar.” Teach them to say, “ I am one of God’s children who in this world with all its fallenness and curse, struggle with ”. We do not say, “I am migraine.” This reminds us that who we are is to be lived out even when we struggle with issues.

 Affirm Christ’s Work for You (v.11-15)确信基督为你所做的工(11-15 节) 

We are to help people believe in what Christ has done for them and is doing in them. At no point can the issue they are struggling with be used to deny either the saving or transforming work the Spirit is doing in their lives through the Word of God. 

我们要帮助人们坚信基督已经为他们所做的以及正在他们身上所做的工作。对于圣灵藉着 神的道在他们的生命中所做的挽回或改变的工作,他们所争战的问题绝不会否认。 

Through Christian counseling, people will come to live according to who they are in Christ and what Christ has done for them.

Think about this 想一想 

How this affects a Christian counselor working with an unbeliever.这对一个基督徒辅导非信徒会产生怎么的影响.

The reality the Bible describes is simply true . The universe, the world, people are as the Bible says they are, whether they believe it or not. This is a great strength for Christian counselors. We can lean across to people and actually speak truth in love. So do you?

Interpret a person’s world 了解这个人的世界

Install faith, that is, an obeying belief 建立信心,即顺服的信靠

Develop Christ-like maturity 长成基督的身量

Warn against false ideas and practices 防备虚假的思想传统

This humbles us as we realize several important ideas:对下面几点的认识会使我们虚己:

There is no Christian triumphalism. We are not pretending that in this life we have solution to every issue of life. We do not (and no one does) have a full and final solution in this life. We simply have to learn to live pleasing to God even when our situation cannot be changed.

基督徒没有必胜论,不要假装我们在今世可以解决生命中的所有问题。在今世我们没有(别人也没有)一个完全且最终的解决方案。即便我们的境遇不能改变,我们也只不过是学着去过一种讨 神喜悦的生活,

Christian counseling is about a Person. Yes, there are practical modalities and methods to help people be pleasing to God in the midst of the mess. But we are to counsel in reference to Christ – to whether people believe and bow to the Lord.

基督徒辅导是关乎人的。确实有很多可行的模式与方法去帮助困境中的人来讨 神的喜悦。但我们的辅导是关乎基督的——确保人们是否相信并屈膝在主面前。

We do offer real hope and real help. The Bible tells us that we are to live now in view of heaven, of the new creation that has begun at the resurrection of Christ and will be brought to fullness in the new heavens and new earth. Then, all struggle, all sorrow, all sickness, all affliction, all fallenness, all that we suffer under in this life will be brought to an end. Then, o then, will Christ be all and in all for the glory of God the Father。

Trajectory of Christian work: to savor and submit to the Lord Jesus Christ, both in this world and in the world to come.

神迹与启示56、旧…

「他施展大能的手和伸出来的膀臂,因他的慈爱永远长存。」【诗136: 12

欺压人,苦待人,硬心反抗神的法老,为了自己的利益,杀害了无数的以色列男孩。虽经历多次警告性的灾难,始终不肯悔改放过以色列人,以致招至死长子之祸。神不愿人长久为奴,也不愿意人欺压人,祂要释放人得以自由,故施这严重的刑罚。这是祂的公义也是祂的慈爱,一直不变的慈爱。

祂领以色列人从他们中间出来,祂施展大能的手,和伸出来的膀臂,称谢那分裂红海的,祂领以色列从其中经过,因祂的慈爱永远长存,却把法老和他的军兵推翻在红海里,以色列人能从法老的魔掌出来,是神施展祂大能的手,把红海分开,并把法老的追兵淹殁在红海,因为祂长存的慈爱,祂不忍见人长久为奴受苦。

第一道障碍除去了,第二道障碍又出现,那就是旷野的障碍。神领以色列民脱离旷野。以色列人虽然脱离了埃及法老的辖制,但是他们因为不信和不顺服,旷野成了他们进入迦南的拦阻。可幸有神永远长存的爱,祂长久地忍耐他们的悖逆,耐心地引导他们进入迦南。

人因为软弱不信,会不时失败跌倒,好像在旷野一样起起跌跌。但因着神不改变的慈爱,祂耐性地教导,引导我们,帮助我们脱离旷野失落的生活,慢慢进入丰富,我们真要感谢祂。

 

最后一道出现,就是那些迦南外围的强大君王,他们不准以色列人经过他们的地,不准他们进入迦南。以色列人虽有六十万壮丁,但他们久未经战阵,又常不听神的吩咐,靠他们本身的力量是不能胜过这些强敌的。慈爱的神再次向他们显出永不改变的慈爱,帮他们除去这最后的障碍。奉主耶稣基督的圣名祈求!阿们!

启示意义 : 在我们信仰的历程中,有些我们本身无法克服的障碍,拦阻我们进入神的丰富,好在我们的神是慈爱的,而且是永远不改变的,祂耐性地帮我们去克服,使我们可以进入迦南应许地,不至望门兴叹。蒙主恩典!阿们!

「这就是神在基督里,叫世人与自己和好,不将他们的过犯归到他们身上,并且将这和好的道理托付了我们。」【林后5: 19】

不论我们过去的好或坏,都会在我们身上产生消极的作用,拦阻我们向前,主在十字架上已经涂抹了一切对我们不利的字据,把它们彻去废掉了,所以我们不该再回头把它们重拾回来,特别是那些过去所受的伤害和阴影,过去所犯不能弥补的过错,都已经因我们的归信主而一笔勾消了。

只要我是在基督里,我就是一个新造的人。我们如何在亚当里,旧人所有的天性、生命、行为,都流到我们身上来,并不用我们费力;照样,只要我们在基督里,基督的一切,也流到我们身上来。

在基督里。新造的人应该有新的眼光,过新的生活,作新的事奉。当主再来的时候,我们将借着复活在新造的世界中进入不朽,全人的更新达到高峰。

真实基督的仆人,必定只作基督所作的工,绝不在基督的工作之外,另作别的工。事奉神的工作,都是环绕在劝人与神和好这一个中心上。缺少了这一点,所有的工作都不是事奉。

因着神奇妙的恩典,才有和好的福音,使人蒙召来与神和好。救恩并不是基督到满心不乐意的父神面前为我们求情,整个救恩的计划都是出于父神的计划和安排,人与神和好的障碍已经除去了。但在人那一方的障碍还没有除去,人必须接受呼召与神和好,所以神又主动「将劝人与祂和好的职分赐给我们」。

「劝人与祂和好的职分」,就是传扬神在基督里已经成就的工作,一切工作都是围绕劝人与神和好这一个中心,而不是为了提升人的道德水准、解决人的精神寄托。

不仅主动要叫世人与自己和好,祂也主动差派使者出去传扬这和好的福音。

主的仆人乃是『基督的使者』,他的工作就是显明基督的所是,和传扬基督的所作。主的工人工作内容是叫人与神和好,工作的方式是『劝』人,工作的态度是『求』人。

基督原是『无罪的』,却『替我们成为罪』,代我们受了罪的审判,好叫我们这些不义的人,『在祂里面成为神的义』。无罪的成为罪,不义的成为义,哦,神的救法太奇妙了!奉主耶稣基督的圣名祈求!阿们!

学习体会 : 我们信徒借着与主在生命上的联合,祂生命的成分就成为我们的供应,渐渐地要浸透并充满我们的全人,以致祂从我们身上彰显出来,这就是我们在经历上成为神的义。蒙主恩典!阿们!

神迹与启示55、旧…

「他拯救他们脱离恨他们人的手,从仇敌手中救赎他们。」【诗106: 10

以色列人出埃及开始认罪,指出神藉云柱火柱引导以色列人来到红海,以致法老王认为以色列人迷了路;既然迷了路,那位引领以色列人出埃及的神,一定不是全能全知的神,所以法老王认为,有机会打败以色列人,将他们捉拿回来,减轻自己的损失。   

另一方面,以色列人也有同样的想法,所以他们就大发怨言,对摩西说:「难道在埃及没有坟地,你把我们带来死在旷野吗﹖你为什么这样待我们,将我们从埃及领出来呢﹖我们在埃及岂没有对你说过,不要搅扰我们,容我们服事埃及人吗﹖因为服事埃及人比死在旷野还好。」

因以色列人两方面的悖逆:「不明白你的奇事」,神用十灾打击埃及,显出神是全然得胜的神,可惜他们就是不明白;同时神救他们脱离埃及为奴之家,要作他们的神,好领他们进入迦南美地;可惜他们就是无法领会神的慈爱。

他们「反倒在红海行了悖逆」,埋怨神不应领他们出来,又表示宁愿返回埃及,继续做奴仆。按这样的悖逆,显出这些以色列人真是没有良心,任何人都会感到,不如放弃他们算了。

然而,神不计较以色列人的悖逆,却为「自己的名」,仍然拯救他们,免得他的名被世人议论,说:耶和华神根本没有能力可以领以色列人进入迦南。

再者,神要证明答应亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的应许,都是真实的,所以神按自己的名拯救他们,为要彰显他的大能,证实他是至高的全能者。神就斥责红海,海便干了,使以色列人经过深处,如同经过旷野。

神这样「拯救他们脱离恨他们人的手,从仇敌手中救赎他们」,实在是惊天动地的奇事,是人类历史从未有过的大事;神不但将埃及大军消灭,永无后顾之忧;更叫普天下的人,尤其是迦南全地的人,都极其恐惧。这是指米利暗和妇女们拿鼓跳舞,歌颂神说:「你们要歌颂耶和华,因他大大战胜,将马和骑马的投在海中。」奉主耶稣基督的圣名祈求!阿们!

启示意义 : 这奇异的恩典,以色列感到神与他们同在,非常骄傲。蒙主恩典!阿们!

Two Purposes in Redemption. 挽救的两个目标

The purpose of history .历史目标

God would display His glory in saving and transforming His people through HisSon bringing His sovereign rule overall the universe

God would save His people f rom their sins bringing them under the Lordship of His  Son and transforming their lives

A Primary Focus 主焦点 

The focus of my talks will be on the distinctive foundations and key elements of a Counseling that is Biblical. I am not here and I do not want to be heard through the lens of the Jay Adams. I counsel according to the Bible, not according to Dr. Adams.

Biblical counseling addresses the whole complexity of the human situation. It sees man’smost essential need and most necessary relationship is to God. But it also offers hopeand help for all.

心理学有不合圣经的地方

反对在基督徒的辅导中整合心理学和圣经的原因之一,是因为世俗心理学中有不合圣经和敌基督教的原则。

心理学建基于下面几个基本前设﹕

(1)自然主义

(2)唯物主义

(3)还原主义

(4)决定论

(5)进化论

(6)逻辑实证主义

(7)相对主义

(8)人本主义。

人本主义心理学和超心理学则强调宇宙的非物质本质。

大部分的基督徒都应该可以看得出这些前设是敌基督教的。例如,任何建基于唯物主义或相对主义的辅导理论,怎么可能是合神心意的?这样,会对基督徒有好处吗?

那些人本的心理学家们,以为自我中心是心理健康之道,结果他们教导自尊/自信和自我实现,这些哲学和态度是敌基督教的。

性欲理论为整个文明世界带来性革命。基督徒的性爱观念因此被视为古老,结果,离婚、堕胎和其他与性爱有关的社会问题,四处泛滥。

那些支持整合运动的基督徒心理学家们也明白世俗心理学中有不合圣经之处。所以,他们认为需要去芜存菁,他们亦自称已经过滤了那些有害的,将麦子和稗子分开,只留取那些合圣经的部分。

他们相信,因为自己是基督徒,所以他们自然有分辨善恶的能力,能够知道那哪些是合圣经的,哪些是不合圣经的。

所有真理都是从神来,为什么我们还需要用圣经来试验这些「真理」?只有那些和圣经一致的,才能接纳。

基督徒应注意的问题不是该不该用心理学,而是『什么样的心理学可以用? 』

心理学包罗万象,其中也含有不少相当危险、不合圣经的观念。例如,有些理论含有人本主义思想、唯物主义、或进化观念;基督徒不要走极端,不可「照单全收」,也不要把心理学全部否决丢弃。

那么,我们的整合主义者就着手评估每一个理论、每一个技术。根据一个统计,现有三百多种治疗,一万多个治疗技术。我们需要花多少时间才能评估所有理论和技术?这样花时间是值得的吗?假若在我们评估工作还尚未完成之前,新的理论和技术又出现了,那我们该怎么办?这项工作岂非永无止境?如果我们碰到一个灰色地带,或者一个圣经没有明白表示的情形,我们怎样决定?又或者有基督徒心理学家认为某理论是合圣经的,但是,另一个心理学家却不同意,那么,我们应该用什么准则去决定?如果我们没有一个可靠的办法去决定这些心理学理论和治疗技术是否合圣经,那么,我们对整合运动亦不可能有肯定的立场。

圣经的完备性,持这观点的基督徒认为圣经足够为信仰和生活的指引,所以,不需要世俗心理学。他们常常引用两段经文是﹕圣经都是 神所默示的,于教训、督责、使人归正、教导人学义、都是有益的。叫属 神的人得以完全,预备行各样的善事。神的神能已将一切关乎生命和虔敬的事赐给我们,皆因我们认识那用自己荣耀和美德召我们的主。

圣经是完备足够的。上帝的话、圣灵、和信徒从基督所得的生命,足够让我们应付大部分的困难,包括那些被认为精神病和心理疾病,当然也足够我们应付日常的生活问题。他们又说﹕人们需要寻求专业心理辅助的问题中,绝大部分都和婚姻、家庭、个人心灵的痛苦、抑郁、和上瘾有关,这些都是圣经谈及的问题。

今日的信仰权威已经被腐蚀﹕只有圣经才是无误的教会生活规则,但是今天的福音派教会已经不把圣经当作权威。事实上,教会经常被文化牵着鼻子走。它所列举的文化影响之一是治疗技术。圣经是上帝唯一的启示 – 唯独圣经的教导,含有所有资料,让我们可以从罪恶中得救,它也是唯一衡量基督徒行为的根据和标准。

教会历史也屡次见证了一件事﹕每当我们在圣经之外另有权威,圣经就会退居次要地位,教会也因而漂离正确的神学思想。单因为这个历史上的经验,我们就应该质疑这个圣经和心理学的整合运动。

爱情「可以满足我们心底深处的需要、医治过去留下的心灵创伤~我们潜意识中要求配偶成为自己从未有过的『完美的好父母』心理上退化为婴儿状态~婚姻之中的两个『大婴孩』~千方百计地『讨债』,要对方负责再次使自己快乐起来。」

心理学家们教导说,我们从前的经历贮存于我们的潜意识中。

当然嘛,还可以放在那儿!这样的理论,想我们都听过一千零一次。有一本心理学课本总论说﹕「心理分析理论主张,童年经历深藏在我们的潜意识中,最能影响我们的性格。」

催眠术可以医治这个曾被不健全家庭虐待的内心幼童。我们可以这样做,因为对我们的潜意识而言,时间不是直线性的。

基督徒心理学家就和其他心理学家一样,异口同声地说,童年经历决定我们的价值观,若果我们的自尊/自信低落,或感到罪咎,都源自童年经历。

基督徒心理学家和世俗心理学家对此现象的解释,也基本上一样,他们都强调潜意识和无意识的作用。例如,米尔说﹕我们的童年经历深藏在我们的潜意识中。

他们也谈论「内心幼童」的观念,又使用冥想技术。席蒙思主张使用观想,重活往日的创伤,而且当场邀请耶稣来临医治。虽然他没有用「时间不是直线性」为解释,但是他说﹕「基督是时间之主 —— 过去、现在、将来。」所以,祂能回到往日去,医治我们。

事实上,这正是「内在医治」推动者和一些基督徒催眠治疗师所做的 —— 在催眠术下,观想耶稣和内心幼童相遇,邀请耶稣医治这个曾经被不健全家庭虐待的可怜内心幼童。那么,根据他们,你今天的问题就可获解决。

普通常理告诉我们,我们童年所受的影响,有一部分会慢慢消褪。圣经告诉我们﹕「我作孩子的时候,说话像孩子,心思像孩子,想法像孩子,既然长大了,就把孩子的事都丢弃了。」【林前13: 11所以,如果你母亲说你是一个坏孩子,不见得你一定会一辈子觉得罪过。

最后,除了被他人影响之外,任何人,包括基督徒,都可能被灵界影响。当彼得要求耶稣不要上耶路撒冷去,耶稣斥责他,说﹕「撒但!退到我后面去!」【太16: 23非常明显,彼得当时是被撒但影响。但我们也可以从神那里得到好的影响,圣经告诉我们﹕「因为你们立志行事,都是 神在你们心里运行,为要成就他的美意。」万幸。

上帝不喜欢我们把自己的问题归咎于别人的罪恶,「我们是不健全家庭的受害人」不是新思想,以色列人老早就懂得。他们有俗语说﹕「父亲吃了酸葡萄,儿子的牙酸倒了」,但是「主耶和华说,我指着我的永生起誓,你们在以色列中,必不再有用这俗语的因由。看哪,世人都是属我的,为父的怎样属我,为子的也照样属我,犯罪的他必死亡。」【结18: 3-4 我们从不同方面受到不同的影响,但神让我们有选择的能力,我们可以把自己献上,作为罪的奴仆,也可以作为义的奴仆【罗6: 16。我们的选择可以撤销童年的影响,既然我们有机会选择,我们就必须为自己的选择负责任﹕「我们各人必要将自己的事,在 神面前说明。」有一天,当我们向神交帐的时候,我们不能再用「不健全家庭的受害人」为借口。

所以圣经规劝我们,「忘记背后,努力面前」【腓三13我们不应该尝试挖掘所谓潜意识中的往日伤痕,上帝并不喜欢我们天天翻旧帐,这不是我们对付问题的办法。导灵们在谈论中,经常使用意识、潜意识和无意识的观念。如果把它们对这些名词的定义总括在一起,它们的定义和心理学家们的,相差不远。令人怀疑,到底谁是真正的理论发明人。

同时也认为,我们的心灵还有更多的一层,它叫这个做「更高意识心灵」,我们的意识、潜意识和无意识,都嵌藏在其中。这就是容格所讲的「集体无意识」。包括破坏者、小丑、母亲、智者等等,这些原型存在于各时代、各文化中。

所谓潜意识和无意识其实并非这样天真无邪,导灵们说,这些心灵结构是通往灵异事物的通道。例如,那些伪装为天使的导灵说,它们和人讲话,是通过人的潜意识。另一个导灵,解释说,无意识心灵掌管直觉、预感、超感视觉。所以,这些都是无意识的功用和内容。聖經中,沒有潛意識、無意識等觀念。奉主耶稣基督的圣名祈求!阿们!

抑郁症不是只有一个原因,但有一些共同的途径能引发抑郁症。在你的生命中找出这些,可能有助于你摆脱抑郁症,并在将来避免它。 

易动感情的人,没有注意的个人灵性问题,可能导致抑郁。你在自己生活中,有看到过吗? 

如果你在上帝以外,让某个人成为你生活的中心,你若失去他或她,你会感到孤立和无目的。圣经告诉我们,这是偶像崇拜 – 你正在崇拜上帝所创造的,而不是他自己。

如果您觉得自己在其他人眼中失败了,而你的成功和他人的意见至关重要,你会陷入抑郁。你的成功和他人的意见已成为你的神,它们比服侍基督更重要。

如果您觉得自己做错了什么,你想要绕过耶稣十架来处理你的罪,抑郁症就无可避免了。我们总相信我们可以做某些事 – 例如为自己的罪感到糟糕透 – 但这只是骄傲。实际上,我们认为我们可以偿还上帝,但这种态度,大大低估了十字架的美丽,轻视了耶稣对罪的全部付出。

如果你生气,但不学习宽恕,你就很容易陷入抑郁。简单的公式是:悲伤+愤怒=抑郁。叫我们生气的原因,显出我们所爱的是什么,以及我们所珍视的权利。不饶恕,显示我们不愿意相信上帝会包扎我们破碎的心灵,并公平地审判。向上帝倾心,是处理你的悲伤和愤怒之道。求上帝赐你信心,让你可以相信,上帝是保护和帮助你的。 

即使不信圣经的抑郁症研究者也承认,愤怒、怨恨和嫉妒会导致抑郁症。所以仔细看看。如果不认罪导至惩罚,那么这条路是愚蠢的。接受耶稣的福音,你会得到完全的宽恕、爱、希望和喜乐。只要求,就可以得到。

人们已经学会了在抑郁症中一步一步地走。虽然其他人不会注意到其中的尴尬,或其中的英勇,但这似乎并不自然。艰苦跋涉从一步开始,然后是另一步。记住,你并不孤单。很多人都已经走过这条路。 

当你走路时,你会发现你必须应用,你所学到的所有办法,去坚持不懈。寻求帮助、尝试关心别人、自己走出去、问别人他们是怎么做的,等等。 

若有怀疑时,承认你的不信,相信耶稣,并找一个人,让你去爱。一位明智的抑郁症患者曾经说过:「在多年的抑郁症之后,我起床的原因是我想要爱一个人。」

抑郁症的剧痛,使你欢迎任何可以带来缓解的东西。对于某些人来说,药物可以缓解一些症状。大多数家庭医生都有资格开出适当的药物。

对基督徒来说,服用药物与否,是一个智慧的问题, 少于是对或错的问题。智慧的人以祷告的心做决定。他们不把希望寄托在人或医药上,而是寄托在主里面。他们认识到药物是一个祝福;当它有所帮助时,却认识到它的极限。 

药物可以改变身体症状,但不能改变灵性问题。它可以帮助睡眠,提供身体能量,让你看见事物有色彩,并减轻身体的抑郁感觉,但它不会回答你灵性方面的疑虑、恐惧、挫折或失败。上帝是美善的,你可以有能力去认识上帝的爱,并且爱他人。是的,即使在抑郁期间,这种快乐也是可能的。

在你抑郁之前,你无法想像自己有自杀的念头。但是当抑郁降临的时候,你会注意到自己有死亡的思想,然后是另一个,又另一个,直到死亡就像一个跟踪者。 

记住,抑郁症没有把全部的真相告诉你。它说你完全孤独,没有人爱你,上帝不在乎你,你的心告诉你,「没有我,每个人都会变得更好。」但这是谎言 – 他们不可能没有你,而会活得更好。 

死亡不是由你决定的,上帝是生命的赐予者和接纳者。既然他给你生命,他对你有目的。你面前总有一个目的,就是要去爱别人。以那个目的为开始,抑郁症说你是孤独的,你的表现就应该如此。但这却不是真的。上帝与你同在,他呼召你去找那些会倾听,关心和为你祈祷的人。

基督的十字架是我们的标志,我们将分担耶稣的苦难,而不是摆脱一切困难。奉主耶稣基督的圣名祈求!阿们!

学习体会 :你的希望在于一些比缓解疼痛更有深度的事情。抑郁症不能剥夺你的希望,因为你的希望在于一个人,而那个人,耶稣,是活著的,并与你同在。蒙主恩典!阿们!
