Testimonies 12.Liao Zhi: Without you, there would be no truly saved soul

Testimoni…

 Listen for 3 min

Jesus, I have thought many times that if it weren’t for you, maybe I would have left this cruel world long ago.I’m not a strong person, and although the whole world uses those two words to describe me, you know, I’m not.I owe so much to what you have given me. But, I know, you love me and never thought of asking me back. It’s how much I want to pay it back, even a little.

Jesus, I have not seen you, but you have mercy on my prayers when I am lonely and helpless—this is not my delusion, it is true. If it’s just a thought, then my life is just an illusion.

Those who have never tried to rely on you, say it’s all psychological, it’s all imagination. They are imagining the experience that we experience in a way that they don’t know because they have never experienced it. After all, knowledge cannot make people experience the joy of walking with God, because reason and logic cannot explain or speculate on the existence of such a transcendent wisdom. Your teachings are different from other people’s teachings, and those teachings that are high and unattainable have nothing to do with us in the world. But you are different, you have said it yourself – you are the Tao. Those who follow you do not have to search for or rely on their limited wisdom to figure out what the Tao is, as long as they follow you, they are already walking in the Tao. Jesus, I am content to know you.

But you must also know that I cannot always be satisfied, and as long as I am in the world, my weaknesses cannot be completely removed. No one can be like you, no one has been able to truly emulate you since ancient times, and although countless people are willing to emulate you, no one has been able to do it.

You are the Word in the flesh, and no one can imitate that alone, especially since you were crucified and died for the sins of man, and then rose from the dead. You see, who in the world can do it but you?

Therefore a man’s weakness cannot be removed, and he cannot be like you.

Because there is no perfect person in the world, only you are perfect.

But from the time you were born in the dirtiest manger, from the time you chose to walk the hardest way in the world, from the time you were willing to humble yourself to wash the feet of others, from your utter immaculate patience and victory over all temptations… You have proved your love for the world with all your life in the world. Jesus, although I cannot be as white and spotless as you are, I know that from the moment I fully accept you, you have completely forgiven me for all my sins and transgressions.

You have forgiven all my weaknesses and possible transgressions in the world.I know, but I can’t be pure.

You have the authority to forgive sins, and I have the weakness to continue to make mistakes. I can predict that no matter how hard, strong, and devout I am in the world, I will not be able to escape the darkness completely. So I can’t praise myself in any way.

Because I know my weaknesses too well. Sometimes in the face of challenges, I will tremble, sometimes I will face loneliness, I will complain, sometimes I will face the fog of the future, and I will indulge in darkness.

Jesus, the only thing I have in perfect faith is that you won’t let go.

Even I hate myself to the extreme. You still love me, as you always do.

Jesus, calling your name pierces and nourishes the deepest part of my soul more than the name of anyone I love. Jesus, I believe you will teach me how to be strong and courageous.

I believe that you will eventually show me what you have promised—the land of Canaan flowing with milk and honey.

I trust in your faithfulness, even as my flesh wavers, yet my heart is as firm as death.

Jesus, I have no idols, because the people born of you do not need idols.I am weak, but I can stick to right and wrong, good and evil. For the people born of you will not be slaves to sin.I’m not a kind person, but I can serve those who hate me. For the people born of you do not need to show off their semblance of hypocrisy, but we love because you first loved us. Jesus, this generation—without you, there are no truly saved souls.
